Articles are used to provide the site with News that every member will see when they login. Members are invited to submit Articles whenever they have something for general broadcast.
The basic view of articles provides a list of recent articles with the most recent first. These consist of an abtract using the first few lines of the article and may include an image. Articles can be grouped into different types, and options are provided to change the style of how each type of article is displayed.
A default image for the articles can be defined in the Topic selection, and this will then allow all articles under a praticular topic to have the same logo or other image. Alternatively each article can have it's own image attached for the listing.
Articles like any other content can have links to other material attached to them and these appear when the full article is viewed. ( See Attachments )
